Federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program
Launched 1 July 2025, this program provides approximately 30% off the installed cost of eligible batteries. The rebate is applied by your installer at point of sale. Eligible batteries must have a capacity of 5–100 kWh and be installed with rooftop solar (new or existing). For a 10 kWh system the current rebate is approximately $2,500–$3,500 depending on system size and configuration.
WA Residential Battery Scheme
Synergy customers are eligible for a $1,300 rebate on approved battery installations. Horizon Power customers in regional WA can access $3,800. This rebate stacks on top of the federal program.
Combined rebate: Most Perth metro households can access $3,800–$4,800 in combined rebates on a 10 kWh battery system. Combined support can reach $5,000–$7,500 for some eligible households depending on system size.

How to Size a Battery for Your Perth Home
