We are based in Midland, about 15 minutes down Great Northern Highway from Upper Swan. It is why we can quote your roof in person, be on site the morning of the install, and come back if something needs attention two years later. Most companies ranking for “solar panels Upper Swan” are lead-generation websites that sell your details to three installers, or businesses on the other side of Perth.
Upper Swan is not a standard Perth suburb, and a standard Perth solar package is usually the wrong answer here.

System size | Estimated annual output | Typically suits |
5 kW | ~7,600 kWh | Smaller estate home, low daytime use |
6.6 kW | ~10,000 kWh | Standard family home, the most common size we install |
10 kW | ~15,200 kWh | Acreage with pump load, pool, or ducted air |
13.2 kW | ~20,000 kWh | Large shed roof, three-phase, workshop or EV charging |
Figures assume a well-oriented roof, quality components and an 80% system derate. Shading, roof pitch and orientation change the result, which is why we model your specific roof rather than quoting from a table.
Solar is already normal here. In the 6069 postcode area, more than 12,769 small-scale systems had been installed as at 31 December 2025, totalling around 69,423 kW of capacity. That works out to roughly 79 systems per 100 dwellings, against an Australian average of 42. Your neighbours are not deciding whether to go solar. They are deciding whether to add a battery.
This is where most Upper Swan quotes get compared badly, so here are the actual numbers.
Federal STC discount on solar panels. Applied at the point of sale by an accredited installer, it comes off your quote, you do not claim it separately. On a 6.6 kW system it is worth roughly $1,700–$1,800 at current certificate prices.
WA Residential Battery Scheme. Synergy customers receive $130 per usable kWh, capped at $1,300 on a 10 kWh battery.
Federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program. Stacks with the state rebate, delivering a further discount of roughly $2,500–$3,700 on a 10 kWh battery depending on certificate prices at the time of install. Combined support on a 10 kWh battery has been running around $3,800–$5,000.
Interest-free loan. Households earning under $210,000 can access a no-interest loan of $2,001–$10,000 over 3–10 years, administered by Plenti.
The conditions that catch people out: the solar battery must be on the approved list, installed by an accredited installer, and enrolled in an approved Virtual Power Plant. We are SAA-accredited and handle the rebate paperwork, the Synergy application and the Western Power approval for you.
Synergy’s residential A1 tariff sits around 32 cents per kWh for power you buy. Under the Distributed Energy Buyback Scheme, solar you export during the middle of the day earns as little as 2 cents per kWh.
That gap is the entire argument. Every kilowatt-hour you store and use in the evening instead of exporting and re-buying is worth roughly thirty cents. For a household with a decent evening load, a 10 kWh battery typically shifts $900–$1,400 a year off the bill.
Rules changed on 1 May 2026. Systems commissioned from that date need remote disconnection capability to retain full DEBS access, without it, exports are capped at 1.5 kW. Systems installed before that date are grandfathered. If your system predates the change, do not let anyone tell you it needs replacing; if you are installing now, make sure whoever quotes you can explain how they are handling it.

We are a family-owned WA business, operating since 2016, and we are deliberately not a volume installer. Our systems start around $8,000 because we specify equipment we are prepared to stand behind for twenty-five years.

Millendon, Herne Hill, Baskerville, Belhus, Henley Brook, Brigadoon and Bullsbrook, plus Ellenbrook and Midland.
Our installations start at around $8,000. A 6.6 kW system with quality components typically lands between $8,000 and $11,000 after the federal STC discount, depending on panel and inverter choice, roof access and switchboard condition. Acreage properties with shed-mounted arrays or long cable runs sit higher. We quote itemised, so you can see exactly where the money goes. See our full Perth solar pricing guide.
If you are a Synergy customer with an eligible battery, installed by an accredited installer and enrolled in an approved VPP, yes, $130 per usable kWh up to $1,300, on top of the federal battery discount. Households under $210,000 income can also access an interest-free loan of up to $10,000. Full detail on our WA solar rebates page.
We will assess your roof, your bills and your actual daytime usage pattern, then design it. No package deals, no pressure, and an itemised quote you can compare properly.
